Hello, my name is Alejandro, I am the founder of Chozas Tienda, a non-profit e-commerce platform, where we help promote and market products made by hand by artisans and entrepreneurs from all over the country.
I would like to tell you the story behind the Chozas project.
I have always believed that the best ideas come out when they are to help others, the day this idea was born I remember coming home and seeing my mother's sister at her sewing machine, doing what she likes the most, bags and handmade wallets, when seeing the detail in each of his works, the love that he put in each piece of cloth that he sewed, I fell in love with his products.
It was when I thought about how to help other people to know their art, and to be able to sell more, it was an injustice that their work is not appreciated by more people, just as many artisans have not been able to show their creations.
I decided that what I knew I had to put into practice, the first idea was to help her promote herself on social networks, but between her sewing machine and the new ideas she had to get new bags she didn't have the time to do it.
I told myself that the best thing would be to create an online store for her, but always helping in its administration, in June 2019 I launched the first version of Chozas, with few products and a lot of desire.
But why not help more artisans?
Today a year later, as I write this, we are 4 people behind the project, among them my partner who was the one who believed in this from the beginning, who gave the name to this madness, more than 70 artisans from different parts of the country and more than 1000 products in our store.
Sorry if you got bored reading this, but I wanted you to know how Chozas Tienda was born, and that everything you find here are things made by someone at home with all the love of their hands and that you take home not just a purchase if not part of the soul of its creator.
